As IT Manager for a prominent accounting firm in Huntington, WV, Sam gained firsthand insight into the unique technology challenges facing regulated industries—from compliance requirements to the critical need for zero downtime during peak business periods.

The catalyst for Vanguard came unexpectedly. A former colleague reached out during a ransomware crisis at their organization. Sam's successful remediation of that attack revealed a significant gap in the market: professional services firms needed IT partners who truly understood their regulatory environment, operational pressures, and data security obligations.

What started as consulting projects for a handful of businesses quickly evolved into something larger.
